I recently visited this beautiful country Bhutan. It’s was an amazingly happy experience.
The air smells fresh with scent of the pine trees. Being the only carbon negative country in the world. By taking a flight from New Delhi, India to Bhutan one can soak in the Himalayan mountain range view from the flight window. I was literally spell bound when the plane was flying across Himalayan snow clad mountain range.

People: Bhutanese people are beautiful, friendly, smiling and have great sense of national integrity. They behave in compassionate way with you. I felt like a human there.

Food: If you love organic food, buckwheat noodles, soups, momos, non-vegetarian food, dairy products. They are famous for their red chillies, cheese, peach wine. There are many guest houses, restaurants serving local Bhutanese cuisine. A visit to the centenary farmers market in Thimphu would make the trip worth while. I would say simply delicious.

Sightseeing: Every region of Bhutan has spiritual significance. There are many sights having Buddhist monasteries, Palaces, Dzongs, colourful Festivals with mask dances (which happen year round region specific) and of course the lovely picturesque nature.

Exercise: If you want to make your health your priority this is it. This country offers many trekking, hiking activities which one can enjoy. Very famous being the trek to the Tiger’s Nest monastery situated in Paro, Bhutan.

Hot stone bath: Traditionally Bhutanese hot stone bath to be experienced, to sooth the aches, muscle pains of the body.

Shopping: one can shop the national traditional outfit worn by the beautiful Bhutanese ladies called Kira( long skirt) , tego (blouse). Traditional Bhutanese jewellery is available at many shops situated in Thimphu and Paro.
